Materials logistics to perfection

In materials management everything revolves around materials and commodity flows. Materials logistics at tecnotron is organised functionally into three areas of activity: work preparation, purchasing and stocking (warehousing).
Work preparation is responsible for master data management and obsolescence management, clarifying technical details with the customer and compiling parts lists. Based on these lists purchasing procures the necessary components as inexpensively as possible, on time and according to quality requirements. The purchasers ensure professional supplier management and assume responsibility for further tasks including claims management.
Smooth functioning goods-in and good-out are indispensible for a successful company. It is the only way to achieve on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. Properly scheduled production processes are dependent on control the warehouse via comprehensive monitoring of minimum inventory levels and components with shelf lives.
